Thoughts...
"In order to think... you must be able and willing to write..."
Well, that's what they say.. but who reaallly knows.
My father keeps a daily journal close to him, but I have yet to build a habit of doing so. He is quite the animal when it comes to producing RESULTS, so I suppose I figured what the hell.. no way this levels someone down... right???!
I do not expect anyone to revere my words in this blog, but rather that the words might be an comparable anecdote to one's own journey. My work involves running a small business building physical products to solve problems in peoples' lives, so, what a hypocrisy it would be for me to live a life separate from that exact ethos, which grants me the freedom to live and play in the vicious cycle that is business and life! This to me means doing what seems outside of work so that I bring my best to serve the team every day through the trials and tribulations.
Only recently have I stepped up into some oversized big boy pants leading a team with the pressure of failure looming over my head. My failure means the ship sinks in many ways. That sounds arrogant, I know, but it is the nature of things and my current situation and I do wish it weren't so!
It is incumbent upon me to build a team that takes extreme ownership and bear the burdens I feel, but that is easier said than done. I am grateful to have an incredible team of men out in the shop working hard, but to say I still long for more help and guidance would be an understatement.
To have ambition and be fearful of failing is a total pain in the ass... sheesh!
What was once a youthful head of flowing dark brown hair is now a slightly less thick with some salt and pepper. Such is life. Cry about it? bah.
Count your blessings and TRUDGE ON, DAMN IT!
For those interested, I will share more on the business and the brands in blogs to come!
BUSINESS Action!
No idle days, and certainly not on a "weekend."
After sleeping in far later than I should have, I was blessed to have the help of the homie and his truck pick up a new prototype product I am working on from BestBuy and bring it back to the shop!! I am still assembling components and will share more on this later.. ;)
I must be wise with my time in straddling new ventures and the existing product line I have across my brands.. I am eager to follow the shiny objects and go go go as if I run a highly profitable and thriving company, so cannibalizing other opportunities is something to stay vigilant against when the golden ticket might be right in front of me!
In my """""~~vigilance~~"""""" I broke up the day with a gym session, and perhaps the reason to even read through this amateur attempt of a useful blog, which is ironic in that the workouts I will share are arguably no better than the next "online personal trainer"~~.... Buuuuuuuuuuuuuut then again if you ain't even training, SURELY an Archive couldn't be worse..!
Aaaaaaand did I mention that it will only cost you a little sweaty equity to find out how bad these workouts might be?? :)
SWEAT EQUITY
"Meat and Taters, precious"
Part 1 – 4 Rounds no rest between rounds
- 10-20 Push-Ups (At the top of the push up, lift 1 hand as you rotate your body and point to the ceiling). These are actually called Santana Push-Ups
- 10 Dumbbell/Kettlebell/Plate Halos (Hold a weight at eye level, and do a full circle around your head while keeping the dumbbell close to your head/neck)
Part 2 – 4 Sets Superset (perform all 3 exercises back to back, and then rest. Rest no more than 1.5 minutes between a cycle of the 3 exercises)
Part 3
Hydrate! Eat protein. Don't overthink it when possible.. do what feels right!
Until next time.
Take care.
